You have 3 days to review your match. The match notification email will have the exact deadline.
If neither of you vetos by the deadline, you’ll both be booked as roommates on the cruise.
🤔 What to Keep in Mind
As you review your match, keep in mind the following:
You’re sharing a room, not looking for a soulmate.
Focus on sleep preferences, logistics around sharing the bathroom, when it’s okay to bring people back to the cabin, etc.
While it’s great if you both have similar hobbies and interests, these should not be dealbreakers. Don’t veto someone because they hate Taylor Swift but you love her (maybe just be careful what music you play in the room).
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
Do your best to be aware of your biases.
For example, upon seeing your match’s social media profile, ask yourself:
Reflect on your answers to see if they may be caused by bias. It may be helpful to write them down.
You don’t HAVE to hang out with each other.
There are thousands of cruisers onboard you can hang out with and one of the best things about a gay cruise is that you get to socialize with new people and make new friends.
Don’t expect your roommate to hang out with you all the time, and by the same token, don’t feel obligated to have to hang out with them either, especially as you start meeting new people onboard. If you both want to hang out together, that’s awesome - it just doesn’t happen like that for everyone.
📥 2) You’re Notified When Matched
I’ll send you an email when I’ve found a match for you.
⏳ 3) Review & Contact Your Match Within 3 Days
Once you’ve been matched, you have 3 days to review your match before you are booked onto the cruise with them. The exact deadline will be listed in the match notification email.
During these 3 days, you may check out your match’s social media profiles and contact them via the contact information provided in the email. 👉 See Reviewing Your Match
📆 4) Veto
If you truly don’t think you and your match would be compatible roommates, contact me within 72 hours of getting matched.
You can veto twice for two separate matches. After two vetos, you will be booked with your third match.
